For the love of god, people. We rail about taxes on ARFCOM all the time. I bet you've been to town hall meetings. I'll even bet you've been to Tea Party events. How many of you have gone to a school board meeting? THINK NATIONALLY, ACT LOCALLY. The next School Board Meeting for Pennsbury School District in Bucks County, PA is this Thursday at 8PM. I've been begging people to attend but they don't want to be seen as "against the teachers". I'm against an additional 3% increase in the property taxes. I bet it's even higher in your own school districts. |

Here is what I do:

The Tea Partiers in Bucks County are filling all the vacant Republican Committee Seats. So, when the GOP eliets decide on the next candidates they don't get to make the decision on their own. The Conservatives are going to re-take the GOP on the local level. What about the School Board? |

Quoted: Then you are the perfect person to get involved with the school board. The Union Thug teachers can't punish your children for your rabble rousing.Your poll fails Attend tea parties , attend town hall meeting , no school board crap because we home school to saving him from having to unlearn the bs history and civics they teach. What scares me to death is that the Union Underboss (UU) is the school district psychologist. Just imagine the ass whooping that can come down on you when the UU decides your child needs some counseling, or the Children and Youth Services are called because the UU "Saw some desturbing behavior". |
| My answer to all there issues would be to shut it down , the state has no reason to be teaching our kids . I went to public schools growing up and dropped out because it was a complete waste of time . 13 years later Im doing alot better than those bumbling fools I went to school with. I will say I wish I could take the time to educate myself further in the language arts . |

Thank you, all of you that are getting involved. I want to push the school board thing because they have such a huge impact on the local community. In my area the school board, Republicans and Democrats, are pretty much chosen by the party bosses. Of the 9 members on the school board 5 are solidly in the pocket of the Teacher's Union despite their party affiliation. To change that we are nominating people to be our ward bosses, so when the time comes to choose candidates the local ward has a say, not the County Bosses. Our school board has a budget over $150 Million. That is all tax dollars. We've got to reign the spending in this next year or we'll be facing 5 - 10% increases in 2012. |
