This came on the radio while my wife and I were driving somewhere. She started singing the lyrics. I listened to her version, and asked her WTF she was saying?
She was singing Secret Asian Man. She always thought that's what the song said. ![]() Now that is friggin funneeee!! |

Cold War classic.
Kind of caught the mindset of the mid 60s duck-n'cover craziness, when us kids used to scan the horizon for The Mushroom Cloud which would somehow wipe out adults, and leave as feral little underground creatures feasting on radioactive leftover halloween candy forever and ever amen. Secret agents were everywhere. I know. I was one. When I wasn't busy being an astronautess. |

I heard that when trying to record "Memphis" in the studio he couldn't get the right feel, so he brought in a bunch of people to turn it into a "live" performance.
That's why you hear all those people in the background in the studio recording. It created the right energy and the rest is musical history. Classic. |
