Bought a new gun.
What's the first thing I do? Strip it down and pull the barrel. Ask ADCO which category it falls in for shop services. Barrel goes out first thing tomorrow. Why, you ask? Well, because it needs to be threaded for my suppressor, of course. I haven't even shot it yet. 
(BTW, the firearm in question here is a 10/22 - picked up one of the new "distributor exclusive" LVT models with a mid-profile 20" barrel. Having it cut back to ~18.5" and threaded 1/2x28 for my Spectre.  )
I was going to post this in the suppressor forum, but as it's just banter and not tech talk, decided to do the right thing and not clutter it up.
