I agree, but I can't seem to find anywhere to watch it since I don't get USA anymore. There's some coverage on a variety of different channels, including NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC and I think Universal. I think some of the channels are replaying events late at night (like 3:00 AM), so hopefully you can find some of it. |

Quoted: Quoted: ...Rocks. +1 It is my favorite winter sport to watch! I am recording/tivoing about 40 hours of curling over the next week and a half. How does one do that? Where is it tivoable? Nothing like watching hot Scandinavian chicks scrubbing the floor like their life depends on it.

You're wrong. The women's has hot wimmenz! |

Curling is awesome. People always think it is difficult to do, but in reality it is very easy to be good enough to not look stupid.
I have had a few guys join me in bon spiels (tournements) that had never curled before. Each of them picked it up right away. One guy put his first stone EVER dead center on the button. Check it out if you are interested. Most leagues up here are $200 or so for a season (10 weeks.) The club I curl with doesn't allow open drinking during the season, since they share the ice with local hockey teams. They do allow and encourage drinking during the Bon Spiels though. |

See, it's like shuffleboard but with way moar suspense! I'm serious, that's really is it! We can all relate to it from the bar game or the old folks home, but it's just way more suspenseful and elegant and intense with the slow moving, gigantic stones, and the furious scrubbing huge movement from little bumpage. And they're shiny. And some of the chicks are really hot!

I don't but there is a curling rink near the golf course in Two Harbors. Yea, there probably is. The setup in Duluth at DECC is pretty damn awesome. Largest curling venue in the US, second largest curling club. I think they have hosted a World Championships up there as well. |
| Awesome sport, the Virginia Air and Space Museum every year has a skating rink during the winter months, and the local community groups have been doing some small funraisers to get a set of stones. They are not cheap by any means. Would then use them for a public league during the winter with proceeds supporting the museum. |

You people are kidding, right? Curling is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Aside from giving women sweeping practice, WTF is the point?!
On the plus side, at least it's not a judged 'sport', like figure skating, ice dancing, etc. Edit: I just read that it was invented by the same folks that gave us another stupid game: Golf. Damn Scots... |
