[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need help hotlinking

For the life of me I can not create a hotlink in my ad in the new EE.

It's the button that looks like a sideways paperclip (or two links of a chain

) that is directly above and to the right of the strike through button.

I know but they don't work. I'll paste a URL then they highlight and i'll click the add link key and another window opens for a URL, location, and name. I fill that out and click the accept key but all I get is a dead link?

1) Type out the text that you want to become your link. Ex: LINK

2) Highlight that text. Ex: LINK

3) Press link button to open pop up window.

4) Fill out the information and click insert, then OK on the next screen.

everytime i hit insert it just goes blank and doesn't do anything. This is with the arfcom insert/edit link button.
