I can't get a link to add any other way that just the URL like this:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/active.html

What I like to get is something like Active Topics instead of just the URL. I've tried filling the title block out and I just don't seem to be doing something right. What am I doing wrong?

Advanced.

The videos and pics I can handle. Links, not so much.

It's simple.

Enter the hyperlink text i.e. cool link name

Highlight your cool link name text, click on the Hyperlink icon in the toolbar (the chain)

Put the web address into the Source box

Click insert

Verify that you have no address prefix or the correct prefix (watch for http when you already have an http) and click ok

So enter the title and then use the link tool.

I was trying to use the title box in the hyperlink editor.

Thanks so much Phil. I knew it would be something simple that I was doing wrong.

I plan to get GoatBoy drunk off his rocker at SHOT 2010 so he'll spill the beans on what all the extra dialogue boxes do in all of the advanced editor tools.

It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one fooled by this.

Just FYI, the way to type it out is like this:
[u r l=http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/StoreFront.bok]LaRue[/u r l] - blue text is just to break it up so it is easier to read.

When you take the spaces out of the 'url' it looks like this:
LaRue

The same goes for images:
[i m g]http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9100/dscn0736b.jpg[/i m g]

Without the spaces in the 'img' it looks like this:

Test Linky

Cool.  I have been scratching my head over this for a while.  Thanks!
