Don't upload it from the beta site, the media server wont recognize uploads from there.

Upload from the AR15.Com, the file limits have been updated there even though the site does not display the new size.

Profile>Upload Avatar

It has to meet these requirements (GB has already added the new requirements)
Avatar :
175px x 95px
20KB Limit
JPG GIF PNG

Submit

After you submit your Avatar use the Test Thread to post in and check to see that it's working.  Do a force refresh of your browser to make sure you aren't seeing your old avatar that is stored in the browsers cache.

That's a Beta version of Firefox and IE 6.0 is, well 7.0 was released Oct 2006, you're overdue for an update on that.

But if it's happening across both browsers you have another issue going on.

Pop up blockers, anti virus they can all cause weird things.

ETA-
missing MAIL, MEDIA, and SUBSCRIPTIONS buttons. on that page.

Bronze level members don't have an AR15.Com email address or use of the media server.

It looks like that subscriptions link I show is a dead left over from a previous upgrade.

Its IE6 because I can not stand IE7 but I never use it anyway. All my browsing is done via firefox. Anything is possible but I do not think a local browser issue would cause the Mail, media, and subscriptions buttons to be missing.

When I click on Edit Bio it opens up a text entry area normally.
When I click on upload bio pic or upload avatar the appropriate entry area does not come up.

Installed all microsoft updates except IE7 and restarted system.  Then used IE for the avatar upload.  It worked that time for some reason.
