Once in a while I get a spam e-mail and it has an unsubscribe option... but when I look in the header the e-mail address is some nonsensical address.... not my own. what's the deal? How does that address end up getting to me? Is it some sort of phishing scheme?

Yes, it's designed to get you to click on the unsubscribe link, which then does nothing but verify to the spammers that it's a "live" email address. In most cases you'll end up with more spam, not less.

Cool.... but clicking on the link to the page isn't a risk, is it?
