[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Why so slow?

I have 5Mbps cable... and I can watch each table cell pop up, one by one, while browsing the forums. Just like the good ol' days of dialup.

Why is it so PAINFULLY slow? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm having problems on a regular basis responding to threads. just hang for long periods of time. It took about 15 attempts and 20minutes to edit this one

I think it's been like this since the upgrades.

I don't have access at work, so I'm not on much anymore but it's been noticable when I'm on.

Well, it seems that the forum has an issue with FireFox. I have found that it loads almost instantly with IE, but on every one of my computers I get the slow, cell by cell loading of the page in Active Topics every time.

I've seen the same behavior here and it is driving me nuts, too. I don't mind using IE, but most of my computers don't HAVE IE, because they aren't running Windows.
