[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Multiple false IM messages

I have been getting multiple false IM notifications.

I have been talking with a friend through the messaging system and I get notified he has responded. I read the response, reply, and go back to General Discussion. After a few seconds another IM notification pops up but there are no new messages.

This happens over and over maybe three or four times per real message.

cleared your internet cache lately?

what browser do you use?

Google Chrome. Haven't cleared cache recently. I actually just reloaded this PC about two weeks ago. It's probably all that porn I was looking at.
