@Joker1 Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, truth be told my little girl is desperate to get a puppers. I am also part of a signal group of Indiana members of arf, I know that there are several good guys and gals in Southern Indiana. I'm not sure how far south in KY you are, but I would bet we could get some help your way if needed. Hell, I would be willing to make a drive, as I have family in Florence. Let me know if you need it, please. |

Damn it. This isn't good news at all. I know you don't want people telling you what to do, but you better take care of yourself. There are too many dogs out there that need you in their lives. I'm about 10 hours away, so I'm struggling with what I can do to help. I sent some money, but that doesn't help carry dog food in. If nobody closer can help, I can always come out and camp for a few days and make sure they all get fed. My wife already volunteered to take care of our dogs while I'm gone. Sabrina says hi. @Joker1 perhaps contact the local FFA/Ag teacher at the high school. I bet you can get a good solid kid to handle your daily chores for cash/under the table. And I bet we/arfcom can keep that kid paid as long as you need it. Just a thought. When I was a teenager I would have jumped at the chance to be around so many dogs. |

After we mourned her loss and wanted to get another dog, my wife heard about this Airedale that was at the shelter. When we got there on a Sunday, there was a line of people waiting to see her. As I was waiting for my turn to see her, my bride was playing with this pit mix that was so scared and shivering in the corner. My wife finally coaxed her to come see her. She said "Remember that blonde pit mix I was looking at?" I said "yeah, what about her?" She said "They are going to put her down tomorrow" I said "No they arent. When we are down here in SD, we are going to drive up and get her out" About 4 hours later, just before they were about to close. I walked in and said "Give me that pup!" They said "Nope. Sorry, she is going to be destroyed tomorrow" We begged and pleaded but nope. That bitch behind the counter was determined this dog was going to die. While I am begging to get that dog out, my wife and kids were playing with her. Such a sweet dog. We go home devastated and trying to think how we can save her. We get on FB and reach out to friends. One hooked us up to a rescue who said "Sorry, no promises but we will try our best" 0900 the next morning we get a call... "Where do you want her?... WE GOT HER!" To this day, I am so grateful that Rescues walk this earth with us. It takes a special person to do what they do. They are appreciated. Without them, I would not know what I could have done and who knows, I would hate to think what could have happened to my dog This is my pup... this is Brandi. She is my buddy and NO ONE greets me when I come home like she does. She is protective of her home against all evil squirrels, ducks and rabbits that cross her window. Geese flying overhead are no match to her barking... LOL. She is one of a kind and my life is so much better with her in it. Thank you for people like you that save these pups... This is the post we saw from the shelter the day before the rescue saved her... Heartbreaking isn't it?  |

| I got a message from Joker1 - he had another issue last night and sounded like he was going to address it and go to the hospital. I left him a message this morning. Waiting to hear back but we may need to care for the dogs. |

Standing by as needed. Can be on station for a few days. Have tent, hammock, and a truck I can sleep in if needed. Told my wife about the situation, she said we need to send one of our wimmenz in to handle things as dudes are dumbasses. Whoever is going in first, bring your wimmenz as it would lead to a better run operation and more organized. |

There is a facebook page for his rescue efforts with this info, and folks on there are discussion helping the dogs. Our local member is reaching out to help co-ordinate, and let them know there's another community willing to help. And to make sure they're not just turned over to animal control. Should have pictures of each dog in a day or so. Plan is to head down tomorrow most likely. Will update. |

I reached out to a large regional rescue (with Joker1's blessing) to see if they could help with the bulk of the dogs. The more information I can get to them the better. |

He rescues good dogs that are set to be put down, brings them home, vets them, and helps find them new homes. The dogs are his life. |
