In some threads an OP or following poster will make a comment or post information that is germane to the topic.... followed by 500 inane posts.

While amusing in GD, there are times that I want to be able to see ONLY one poster's comments.

ie.  Industry partner answering questions on a product  ... 500 other posts are made with comments.
or ... a poster starts a thread about a sick child, or wife, or a need for assistance and I am wading through 10 pages of stuff trying to find the resolution or updated information.

Could you add a feature that worked almost like a 'thread level' ignore feature that turned all comments/replies off except ONE poster?

It could be a button that simply filtered all posts out except those by the single poster?

If the search feature was actually able to find POSTS rather than threads wouldn't that help you basically the same?

Your suggestion would make finding comments by a specific poster easier while browsing threads.

I mean in A thread.  not in multiple.

Just disable/filter all but a selected poster.  Especially in the industry forums.

ctrl + f, enter name, click highlight all, scroll down.  Skip anything not highlighted.

Not as good, but still pretty quick.
