Seems to be the common consensus... these two options would probably get more use than any other. I could be wrong... so let's put it to a vote.

A mobile version with options of watering down the rendering: options to turn off sig lines, avatars, post counts, etc.

Please?

I surf with a regular web-enabled phone, not an I-phone or BB, and I would LOVE to see SUBSCRIPTIONS added.

Last post/My last post buttons would be delicious icing on that cake...

Looks great on my HTC Hero from Sprint (BOTD pics and all
). I guess I'm not accessing the "mobile" version though. My bad.

Yes on the subscriptions

and we should scrap the 50 miniscule links for each page and just have large next/prev links

How hard would it be to make an arfcom app? I've noticed a lot of site apps have a similar format. It'd be awesome to have an iPhone/Droid app for this site and you could customize it.

What are the odds?

I'd really like subscriptions available as well. Not so much for my phone, but because I spend a lot of time browsing in a text mode browser and the regular site doesn't format very well.

Another +1 for subs.

ETA: a droid app would be cool also, but my vote was for subs

Oh an iPhone App would rok but I have no idea what it involves to do something like that.

An app with at least the subs... and then all of the main forums... and something in the settings to switch off the ones you don't want to see...
oh... and no ads

I surf arf from my blackberry at home very often. A active topics button would really really be handy for when you just want to jump on and see what's happening without looking at individual forums.

Glad to see you are still pursuing this.  I have a more web-friendly phone now and use the full site ONLY because Mobile doesn't have the Subscriptions button.

This is on the list... subscriptions/mobile IM. I have no ETA with so many other items taking up time. Since I promised subs a while ago, U will bump it up the list. Not even going to guess on the mobile IM because I want to ensure it's done right.

Subscription tool is in. You can read up on it in the news section. (Site update post!) Only your default subscription view will carry over to the mobile platform. This means you cant switch between something like the classic view and the ar15 board view. What you use as a default is all you'll see on mobile. You CAN change your default through the site and it will reflect in mobile.

Needs a "last post" arrow.
Also in landscape view on iphone the submit button floats overtop of the text box and it makes it hard to see what you're writing.

Awesome! Thanks GB!

I no longer have an internet ready phone, but Arfcom Mobile works better than the regular site when I'm at work browsing through a proxy server.

Could the mobile subscriptions list be trimmed down? Removing the amount of replies, topic author, and the date thread was started.
And what are the odds of getting the "unsubscribe" buttons?

I know. Nothing is ever enough. ;)

for whatever reason, longer threads (i.e. ranstad) show up with twice as many pages as they should when selected in mobile. not an issue with this threads topic in general; i thinks it's more of a generic mobile issue. other than that it works great.

Mobile threads are longer in some sections because the number of replies is smaller. So the actual page numbers wont match the site's. This is done to keep mobile transmissions quicker.

that makes sense. so page 25 in "normal mode" = page 50 in mobile?

I'm seeing the "jump to last post" arrow on the full site... on both ends of the thread... next to the title and next to the original poster's name at the other end.
