Since the site has been around now for quite awhile and popularity of it seems to get more and more we have to deal with the inevitable. People that we've known that we've drank with, shot with, and became friends with are no longer here. I know other sites have a 'fallen member,' forum to honor the memory of members who have passed, for example the scuba board I occasionally go to. The Team Forum format would be a wise way to make this work so people that don't belong have to pay money to the site if they want to shit in it.....I'm sure some names come to mind......  Just a suggestion. "Suggestions for me to go to hell or die a horrible death can be posted here however."

I'm neither for or against this. Here are a couple of examples from boards I lurk on. lightfighter.net/eve/forums/a/frm/f/8571024982 They also have a couple of forums named for members who were KIA www.socnetcentral.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=245 www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39 etc, you get the idea  A stickied and locked thread would also suffice in the GD area. |
