Some threads are just too good to let go. We need a living museum of unforgettable threads. A thread could start anywhere, but after a time of reflection and major posting activity dies down, then a mod or staff could move it into the legendary threads forum where they would all be tacked to avoid automatic archiving. Here's an example of a thread that would probably qualify. Just something humorous that everyone remembers. The Samson bird threads would have been another example (they are in the archives now I think). This thread today was the genesis of this idea. "There's a firefight outside, what should I do" (with poll) has the potential of a legendary thread. We'd know in a month or so if it would deserve recognition or not. |
