The online indicator works off a list which is built on the server and updated every 2 minutes, so there will be a short delay before your light goes from Red/Green. This was changed in an effort to reduce strain on the servers and improve performance. I can drop it down to every minute if things seem to be off, but there may be other issues with the new changes. Keep an eye on it from the time you log in to the site until the light goes green and make sure it doesn't go red while you are still using the site. If your session dies because you have been idle a while and you are automatically relogged in, your light will be red as you'll be knocked out of the list. (Technically, you are not actively using the site, although it looks like you never left.) If this happens you'll again have that 2 minute delay from having your status light go green.
