Just about every forum I participate in has a member directory. Why doesn't ARFCOM?

You mean just a list of screen names that when clicked would lead you to their profile? If that's what your talking about, it'd take a while to scroll through 300K+ names looking for the one you want.

Or a searchable database, I guess.  As it is now, you have to search for posts/threads they've participated in, then find their post in the thread, and then click their info.  Seems to be a whole lot of steps.  Unless there is a shorter way.  At least with a member directory, even if your spelling is a little off, you could scroll through the spelling variations.

Not to sound coy, but get a membership.

It'll let you do a name search. In turn you could look up your post, find the person you're looking for, and then do a search for them.

Plus you get all the other goodies that comes with the membership.

ETA: The below suggestion works too. I forgot about that.

You can find a member's profile with a google search of "ar15.com - user: _______"

IME one of the top 5 results is a link to their member profile.
