Please, please make it easier to upload pics on the forums.
it's unnecessarily complicated now. You have to first upload pics to a pic photo site, then upload them here. God forbid you type the pic's address wrong! Why? Why the extra step? I know on other websites you can upload pics directly from your computer's files. It's easy - they allow you to browse your pics from your computer's files, click on the one you want, and it uploads to the website. Simple and quick. Why not do the same here? Why go through yet another website, when you should be able to post directly from your own computer? As an example - Facebook, Craigslist. I see no reason to make us post pics on a photo website, then post it yet again to share with fellow forum members here. This is needlessly complicated. Other sites have proven it can be done more simply. |

All web forums should require their members to use offsite storage. There are MANY photo hosting sites that make is SUPER easy to do, including Flickr, Photobucket, and IMGUR. That also allows you to control what pictures are displayed from ONE central location...decide you no longer want a pic up? Delete it on the host site and its gone from every forum you posted it on (unless someone cached it and backed it up). OPSEC much? ARFCOM is doing it right, that service, if offered, should only be there for paying members. I'm a team member, I contribute to the site and I still do NOT use arfcom's hosting because hosting through Photobucket or Flickr is MUCH easier. Learn to internet, your life will get better. |
