I have asked in the past and thought I would bring it up again.
I would love to see a Pre-ban section in the EE. I know it only benefits us in NY for the most part, but I have noticed a lot of Pre-Ban items for sale. Mostly AR mags, but lowers and pistol mags every now and then come in great quantities. I know I would enjoy it to not see all the stuff I can't buy and just search through things I can buy. Just a thought. |

Actually I'd suggest "preban and ban compliance" parts, just to put all the specialized shopping in one place... |

Let's make it happen. Why? To make it easier for the "Dealers" who come here with the only purpose to buy Preban lowers/Guns/parts,etc & then turn around & flip them in their shops & on gunbroker for big $$$! It sucks living in a ban state & having BRD! It's not too hard to figure out who they are, their post history only shows activity in the EE. They bring nothing to the site & at best a team membership donation. Nothing but leeches IMO! |

How about having a check box in the posting form that you could check if your item is "preban / ban complient" and then allow us to search for ads marked with that tag? As for the dealers, if sellers just did a quick post search on someone's username and saw that all they do is EE transactions, then just don't sell to them? Or mark in your ad "Not for dealers, will not ship to anywhere outside NY"? |

After further review and speaking with a lot of my NY brothers. I DO NOT want this to happen. Feel free to lock and let this thread fade into oblivion....I mean the archives. I'm curious as to why. As a non-ban stater, I've been very frustrated... in that, in the spirit of helping out others, I've offered preban items for sale on the EE, at what I'd consider a fair (ie replacement) cost and had no response other than catcalls of "don't you know the ban is over". After a couple rounds of that I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. To my view something like this might invigorate folks to sell more preban stuff, where it might find an interested market. |

My response was generated due to a closer look form our point of view. You sir are one of the few that have been fair from the sounds of it. As one of my fellow ban staters have put it, it would be like have a Ferrari dealership. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of people here that kill us on prices of items that we seek. Simple lower receivers for an upwards of 600+ dollars. We understand fair market value, we understand supply and demand. I have gone as far as to offer 2 lowers for the price of one person pre-ban. That I feel, and most feel is fair. Others do not. I think if we draw more attention to ourselves and the items then we may miss out on good deals. We do find them sometimes. |
