@Maccrage
Did you order some of your Submarine kits from the Ukraine? If so how long does it take to get them? I'm approaching 20 days since I ordered 1. |

I got a Zvezda November kit in today.
Very disappointed in the quality. |

Rain has stopped. Humidity down enough that I'm going to try and get a coat of primer on the boats today.

@Dog1
Ordered 3 more kits on the 14th of last month. They arrived in NY from the Ukraine on Sunday. Left there this morning. |

Mine finally has made it to the United States and hopefully it will be here tomorrow. They sent it registered mail so I guess it's good that I'm stuck at home so I can sign for it |

I've decided I'm going to number my Virginia class boat 789, USS Indiana. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/9749/789-1374336.png View Quote Nice. Hobby Boss Alpha? I opted for the MikroMir. It's one of the ones I'm waiting for. |

I ordered a AFV GUPPY II today from MegaHobby. Thanks for the inspiration.

Ugh. My Lafayette was supposed to delivered today. Got a pink slip. Have to go pick it up because it's too big for the parcel boxes here.
Damn Uber is going to cost more than shipping. |

They probably over-packed it for shipping. |

I noticed that when my Skate kit arrived, the box could have had 4in taken off of the end of it. I like the Von Steuben with the shark mouth

Does anyone make antenna upgrades for the 1/350 AFV GUPPY II. Like the Clamagore or even better a Migraine style set up

Quoted: Taking a lot of putty to blend the casing into the hull. Luckily, the aft end is good as is. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/145185/20200426_122428-1387617.jpg View Quote I was going to ask about that from the last pic you had posted -- it looked like a separate piece from the hull, and I was betting it was an SOB of a seam to fill. |

"HEY, I THINK SOMEBODY JUST SHOT A TORPEDO AT US!"
I should have liked to build Red October. https://www.amazon.com/Revell-400-Sovietsubmarine-Typhoon-Class/dp/B018FQWFNA |

The stern is wrong on all of the old ones. Wrong. Correct. |

Jesus that's a lot of work for that. They should have did a much better job

There is a lip on the hull that the casing butts against, so there is just a seam to fill. The "lip" on the MikroMir is pretty much for parts alignment only. ETA: I could be remembering wrong, haven't built one in years, and that was when I didn't really care about seams. |

Broke out the spray booth and airbrush. Von Steuben, Pogy, and Thresher get their basic black and red tonight.
