Bourbon?  Probably russels reserve sb or Henry m 10 sb.

Rye?  Anything knob creek or high west.  Their midwinter nights dram is amazing.

Scotch?  Glendronach 15.  Or glenmorangie 18.

4 Roses Small Batch.

Though Jefferson's Very Small Batch is a strong contender.  Almost no "burn" going down.

Woodford’s but I could be happy with either of those for the rest of my life....

Woodford works for me though I actually prefer Jameson, but it isn’t a bourbon.

Blanton’s

I know I know, people are on the Blanton’s band wagon, but Blanton’s is literally the bourbon I cut my teeth on. I’ve had some other really good bourbons, but every-time I have some Blanton’s I just say “This is why it’s my favorite”. Buffalo Trace products really are my favorite, but I can enjoy some others but, Blanton’s still always wins. Still trying to find something I like better!

If we're talking real world, it would have to be something I can easily get such as Eagle Rare, EHT Small Batch, Buffalo Trace, or Four Roses Single Barrel.

If this was some land of make believe where I got all the booze I could handle for free and sell it at secondary market prices, obvious choice is some Pappy.

There may be others, but I just bought this bottle, and it hits all the right notes for me.  I will always have a bottle in my cabinet.

Review grabbed from another site pretty much much nails it:

“Hirsch's new high-rye bourbon explodes out of the gate with rye spice. Despite its eight years in charred oak, notes of vanilla play only a supporting role here. As the initial spice fades, hints of white pepper, crisp pear, and butterscotch emerge. A brash and flavorful whiskey, it will appeal to fans of rye and high-rye bourbon."

Probably Michters Toasted Barrel, every time I get a chance to have some I enjoy it more.

He said bourbon.  That doesn't say "Kentucky" on it.

We can be friends! I love all BT offerings, Blanton's is my hands down favorite. If it wasn't so hard to find I would drink it every day. As it goes these days, I ration it and will NOT finish a bottle without having one on standby. Cheers.

@LiveFree482

Agreed! I remember walking into the store and seeing them stocked deep on the shelf. Now I’m lucky to find a bottle every couple of months! I will supplement with Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace. I regret not grabbing a bottle of Stag or Elmer T Lee (I remember seeing those on the shelves years Ago before I was into bourbon. Now I can’t find any to even try.
