I’m a newb here, but I wanted to add my 2 cents for the XL crowd. My wrist is 8 3/4. It’s always been thick, even when I was a 185lb weakling in high school.

Anyway, I ordered a Barton Springs leather quick release strap for my new Vostok and while I liked the look, it was way too short.

So I started looking for larger straps. I found BluShark carried several large straps. I ordered the AlphaShark Marine Nationale JV XL. 310mm and it’s bigger than I imagined.

It’s about 3cm past the last keeper. A 290mm would probably be perfect for me. I know there’s room for a wet suit, but I haven’t worn one since high school and probably never will again. I guess I should probably trim this one.

I also bought a couple of BluShark XL Kwik Change. I think I like it best, even though it’s not a NATO.

I’m gonna get my first nato strap tomorrow. I assumed I was getting the black and gray, or maybe solid gray, but I think the orange looks badass with this watch. What do you guys think?

I've got a few.

They are regulated to yard work or lake time.

ToxicNatos, Moose Strap Co., or Haveston get the daily wear. I prefer all their hardware over C&B

Dont buy their Perlon straps, I posted earlier in this thread about them. Eulit is the best.

I was looking at the NATO straps, and possibly a 2-piece leather, but I'm going to order a couple NATO/Zuluz from Toxic and Moose Strap instead. For the leather I'll probably just buy a Hadley Roma off Amazon for ~$25

Being that these are "Asia only" models, did you order from overseas? I've looked at both the NY0088-11E and NY0083-14X, but everything is coming from Hong Kong or Malaysia, and I'm nervous about ordering from overseas.

I wear one also. And the True Blue is one of my favorite when I want to change it up. They break in really soft over time also.

Got another Erika's Originals for my SKX. Went with the red stripe to compliment the dial. Took about a month to arrive since she's gotten really busy. Apparently one of her straps made it to the ISS, so now everyone wants the space strap.

...and yes, I have a tipi in my yard.

Rumor has it when they were originally made it was how a pilot hung his watch on a hook on his bedpost.

Some say it keeps the watch from sliding off the strap. I have never had this happen on a strap after I have cut off the extra material.

I really don't know. I trim all of mine personal ones to be a one piece.
