I posted up in GD but wanted to see if what the thoughts are here as well.  Woot had them for just over 50 bucks.  It looks like they can do most things a Gear watch will do for about 200-300 bucks less...

I was a backer on the kickstarter project, and I've worn mine maybe 4 hour since I bought it.  Right now the battery is dead, and I don't know if I will ever wear it again.  I am probably the wrong person to ask about it, b/c I never have my cell phone with me, so I never really explored the features of the watch.

Where is Florida are you?

Greater Tampa area.

Thanks for the info.

I was thinking of one since it was so cheap.  I'm also up talking in front of lots of people quite a bit and can't check my phone very often so this could be beneficial during work.

Don't know anything about the watch itself as I strongly prefer mechanicals... but the Pebble watch is currently on Massdrop.com (No affiliation) for 75$ for the next 6 days.  It's under "tech".

I've bought a few things via that site, prices tend to be good, but the shipping itself isn't crazy fast.
They do bulk orders to a central warehouse which they then reship to the individual buyers.
I have yet to have an issue receiving any of the 'drops I've joined.
