So I am sitting here working on a Citizen Watch Eco Drive I was replacing the crystal, and crystal case gasket. To do this you have to pull the movement, and dial out and everything out So I took the stem and crown out to remove it from the case Then pulled the capacitor out (battery out) And the thing is still running.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3g8Qg_OpqA&feature=youtu.be The face is solar cell, (Eco Drive) and stores enough energy to keep the watch running even with out a capacitor, as long as it is still getting direct light. Ok, so I thought it was kind of cool, so I filmed it, and made post about it. |
