My birth year Seamaster.  The 80’s weren’t the best years for Omega.

I thought this was kinda neat. 10 years separates these two pictures. 2012 Bonnie and a 2022 Trident. Just happened to be wearing the same watch.

I had a watch about like this one, with a day/date, and I had to teach myself how to use a tachymeter, and I’m glad that I did that.
It drove me nuts for a while, and it ended up being so simple. It’s a sexidecimal base of 60x60=3600.
And from there, you can go to town, calculating speed.

Bored at work yesterday so took a pic to show off my Zirconium Tactile Turn pens (I blacked out my name/credentials) and includes my everyday watch (Garmin Tactix Delta). I’ve been on the hunt for a Rolex, Omega, etc but just can’t bring myself to purchase one because I love smart watches and wear them exclusively.

New to this forum.  Why do I find gun pic flexing distasteful but love this thread?  Watches seem more dignified?  Awesome pics guys.  Have a 1992 Rolex GMT master that was a HS graduation present, my grandfathers 1977 Bulova Acutron, and a Seiko Pepsi cola diver that turned me onto divers.  I find myself image searching vintage diver watches and pine for a vintage zodiac seawolf diver.  Great thread. Thanks guys.

Oh man, let's see the 92 GMT!  I've been thinking about a Sophia Lauren forever.  The GMT is great.

Same here. They are so impressive in the way they accounted for maintaining consistent escapement with the use of the fusee mechanism as the mainspring unwound.

Here's another of my silver fusee watches, this one dates to 1882 and has a power reserve indicator:

Back story ...
I purchased the Zodiac in 1970 at the Washington Navy Yard PX.  The watch survived the tours, but the band didn't.  Sat in a drawer for over 30 years.  Then, on a watch forum, I found a gentleman that did restorations.  Contacted him, and made a deal.  While the watch was away, I was lucky enough to find an (unused) original band on eBay.  Now the Zodiac is back in service.
