Thanks guys. As I said, this in more of a prototype quick jig style build I threw together. The plan is to make a single drawer cabinet with a lift out builders tray.. kinda of a two level drawer. The stand above is the prototype for the top of the cabinet. I think I'm going use some curly maple as I really love the golds that come through in finishing. Going leave enough room in the bottom of the drawer to fit 50ml bottles below the tray. The tray is either going sit on dividers for the bottom or stops run down the insides... not real sure yet. I think I want to add a few more spots for drip tips and work on the lay out of the top level of the stand. looking for some nice brass plugs to inset along the front edge to screw atomizers too as well.. maybe about six. I can get the small 510 connectors from mad vapes like the ones used in the jwraps stands above but would really like to make some plugs out of 1" brass rod drilled and taped where the atomizers would not be scaring up the wood taking on and off.
anyway that is what I'm thinking at the moment as I'm sure as I use this for a little bit other things will come to mind. |

I have a square of 8/4 walnut that I have been saving for years for "something". I think I just determined its purpose in life. Nice work, OP ![]() That will do nicely. We need pics when it's done. It will be a couple weeks before I can make the trip to the closest place that stocks exotic hard woods as it's over a couple hours away. Guess I'll have plenty of planning time to keep changing my mind about stuff. |

Nice. I like the stepped look. |

Nice. I like the stepped look. I kinda wish it was stepped high in the back to low in the front. But ehh, it works. |

Dollar store makeup holder. I was going to say "dildo holder", since that looks like a nightstand. But I didnt want to ruin my classy reputation. ![]() Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Not fancy, not high tech, but it is this evenings project.....about 4 beers worth. Pine and deckboard with some upholstery thrown in. I must add the saving grace would be my russian red stain that I hit it with. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g277/DirtDog111/misc%20junk/IMAG0244.jpg was still tacky as I put it together
