I went with this simple mod from madvapes at the recommendation of Gonzo in the huge thread.
I have tons of 18650 batteries for my flash lights, so this was an easy and inexpensive choice.

I also ordered the following item. I thought a fuse would be appropriate for this type of mod.

Are there any other items that I might need?
I looked at the Kick, but have not ordered it, yet.

Which adapter should I buy to attach my tanks? Is there any type of adapter to protect the connect point at the top of the mod?
Should I try a different tank? I use a Kanger Pro 2 Mini for right now.

I started out with a Bolt, too.  Still have it actually.  Its been beat up and dropped and still works fine.

Sounds like you got it covered.  You wont need any sort of adapter to use your ProTank with it.  Also, assuming the design hasnt changed since I got mine over a year ago, the 510 connection is rock solid as it is.  Its also sealed so no worries about leaked juice getting into the internals.

If your talking about adapters such as the skirts like on eGo mods, the Bolt doesnt have eGo threading so they will not work.

One more thing, I got mine from Madvapes too, and at least back then, they didnt state in the description that you needed the extender ring in order to use 18650's.  Just a heads up.

If you're going to go with a kick, keep in mind that they take up a good bit of room. A mech set up for an 18650 will only take an 18500 with a kick. Also remember that some mechs, like the magneto and Sigelei #19 have to be extended fully to take a kick and an 18500.

The Sigelei 20 has a side firing button and is pretty small with a 500 and kick, and I have another bottom firing telescoping mech that I got from fasttech that is even a bit smaller. And it was cheap, too-17 bucks, I think.

My point is, don't plan on using a kick with a 650. Also, the kick has short protection and some other features that may render your fuse moot.

Save it for when you start doing sub-ohm  builds with high drain cells. Might just save you a fire.

I believe the Bolt without the extension fits an 18500.  1 extensions lets you fit an 18650.  And then if you add one more extension, you can Kick the 18650.

I got my Bolt and kamry fuses. It works great. The draw is warm and full.
The closest draw would be my spinner cranked to 4.8v on my protanks.
Pics to follow tomorrow.

Pics added to the OP.
My brother said I should paint it green and put a white eye ball in for the switch.
Then, I will be vaping Plankton from Spongebob.
