(Mods, please move if inappropriately placed.)

Anyone have a linear algebra book? I'm thinkin about teaching myself over the summer. There's no room in my schedule next fall for it, but i want some understanding.

If there's enough interest, maybe we could have a book giveaway/trade thread. I'm just trying to learn and have some fun with a cool thread in the process

eta: might have some books at home to give away... i know there's a diff-eq book i might be able to give away

I can check, I know I took Linear Algebra.  If nothing else, I always used abebooks.com for cheap textbooks in school.

Go to a used book store in your area if there are any, could look through a few and pick out one you like for $5.
The secret to doing well in linear algebra is buy a good calculator and learn how to use it (if you are allowed to use it in class). I liked my ti89 for matrix operations.

This.  I just bought a Roku box for my bedroom TV and found it has a Khan Academy channel

It is very hard to write notes in the ebook.

I have a linear algebra book I used 30 years ago.

The notes are why it is still on my shelf.

Check amazon's used book sections.  Older editions go for 0.01 cents to 5 bucks.  Pretty easy pickings.
