I did a quick search but didn't find this already covered.

Anyone use one?
Advantages?
Disadvantages?

Get the $25 escali scale off of Amazon. It should be more than enough for home use unless you are doing some big time cooking.

Looks like a good scale with solid reviews.
Thanks!

We have a Salter digital scale that we bought about 10 years ago. It gets used every week and often daily. Still works great.

Salter is supposed to be a great brand but there are so many different products.............

It is a good all around scale if you need something measured in Oz or grams. I have used mine in a pro kitchen a few times..has held up to some abuse as mine is a bit beat up, but works perfectly.

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, they have a scale that often is on sale for about $15. Works great, seems pretty accurate too when I tested it. Item 95364:

I have one we got at bed bath & Beyond with a coupon we had, seem like it was around $20. The top is glass and you can take it off for cleaning. I like using it to weigh my dough so whatever I am making comes out even.

I'm using a Soehnle 66161. Nice and thin with a glass top.
