Greetings all. I am not a brother but my grandfather was. He was a 32nd degree mason in Birmingham, AL back in the 30's/40's.

Apparently I had more in the family as I came across this medal from the 28th Triennial Conclave in Louisville Ky.

I just thought I would share.

I am pretty sure the fellow that went was Charles Bassett - is there any way to verify membership or anything?

Grand dads masonic pen for good measure

Thanks all!!

I have never had the time. Back in 1994 my roommate was invited to join and I thought about it - but I was moving a couple of months later. I typically have not had much time for clubs and such due to work travel. However that has been going away in favor of virtual travel.

How would I go about approaching a lodge for membership - The group has alway piqued my interests.

Go to http://www.glofga.org/index.php/freemasonry/become-a-mason  On that page there is a lodge directory link in the text in the second section.  Find one that's close to you and follow the rest of the directions on the become a Mason link.

If you have any problems, contact me.  Ive contacted lodges a bunch of times for guys on here that are unsure of what to do, or unsure about a particular lodge.
