| The Grand Lodge of Missouri voted to amend the Constitution in 1991 to make all proficiency examinations voluntary. While it is still actively encouraged it is a violation to require it. I was "encouraged" by my then BIL who was WM and who raised me to learn my work. He wanted me in the chairs and said it would make my travels to the East more meaningful. Not only did it make the chairs more meaningful, it made learning each chair's work and role in the lodge a lot easier! |

...Got around to turning in my MM proficiency. For those not from Alabama, we are not required to turn in our MM. Most lodges give a free copy of the monitor with a raised seal when you turn it in, otherwise you can buy a monitor but don't get the seal. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f386/skidsareforkids/546149_10200807780347667_1667679312_n_zps173505b4.jpg Congratulations, Brother. The path to proficiency is difficult but worthwhile in every regard. |
