...but I can't imagine a Master Mason ever wearing it, and yep this is the only version.  The only options are what metal it's made out of.

Interesting.  I wonder why they picked that layout and not gone for something an MM would wear.

Why wouldn't a MM wear it?

Because of the layout of the S&C

I'm just thinking whoever designed the ring probably wasn't a Mason.  Then again how do you pack that much symbolism into a ring and screw up the three most important?

At one time, it was very common to use the FC S&C for MMs.  It was a symbolic thing about us all being FCs.  However, I'm thinking they didn't know the difference.

MM is a relatively young degree iirc.  Wasn't there originally only two degrees?  How was the S&C configured with only two degrees?

You Sir are quite right. Any MM could wear this. In my jurisdiction only MMs are allowed to wear regalia.

Brethren all,

I thank you all for your comments. This project is collaboration between a brother and a very talented jewelry designer.  Undeniably an error occurred during the final phases of the design. The Crest Ring is now rectified from the F.C. . degree  to M.M degree. Please don’t hesitate to comment on our work. Hope this amended version will have your full support.
Sincere fraternal greetings.

Beautiful rings!! But the gold ones are out of my price range! $$$$

I'd figure you all being in Antwerp, there would be a diamond or 2.

PS, I love your country! Especially the beer & the architecture. Been there many times.
Also, Wallonia reminds me of my state. I haven't been there since '08'.
Can't wait to go back!

I have a question about the symbolism. I'm just a EA. The ring has 7 five pointed stars on the top. I was looking at George Washington's apron and his has 7 SIX pointed stars. It this a significant difference?

I don't mean to seem inpatient. But I'm considering it as a gift for my lecturer for after I'm raised to MM. I would have to order it before all is revealed.

You cannot wear the S&C anywhere until you are a Master Mason.

I am seriously considering a purchase. But, have a question;
The MP3 on the silver ring states it is assembled in 3 pieces. [? ] Please explain? You can PM me, if you wish.
3/25/2013 2:05:46 PM EDT
[#26]
Basically, The Silver ring is assembled from 3 parts.
-The top the ring (where holds the S&C)
-The body of the ring
-And the bridge( inside of the ring)

They are 3 parts that need to be individually cast and polished  then weld togheter in order to have the finish result.

The Gold version, Has a whopping 9 body parts.
the Top ring, the 6 symbols shown on the side, the body of the ring and the bridge.
It is the most complexe ring ever designed that require a high level of crafmanship.
Witch would also explains the cost that comes with it.

Hope this answer your question

But, I do believe the VAT in Belgium is 21%?
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, it's a beautiful ring!! I had mine mailed.

4 years in a beach city, WOW! Lucky! Ever attend Morte Rat Ball?
I'm a Belgium fan too. But, I've never been to Oostende. The beer, people & sights were reason for me to go back multiple times.

I got a silver one as a gift for my lecturer. It's really cool and has a square and compass carved out on the inside as well. Ordered 4/3 received 4/24.

You were a lucky man!

It ain't too bad to go over there. It's just a matter of getting good plane fare. Heck, I stay in 2-3 star hotels, take trains, buses & walk & go during the off season. I get by fairly cheap & still have a great trip!
So, go man go!!!
God doesn't promise a happy retirement & for us to be able to function well went we are 70 or 80.

I figured out what is going on here.

There is nothing on the ring that violates the EA Obligation. The Obligation states that you are not to duplicate and so on and so forth, the ritual. Those symbols are not the ritual, but are symbols and reminders of the lessons.

OK... I get it now.

They are not named. Those are letters, similar to the letter G thats on the face of the ring.

Nobody outside of Masonry even knows what that is, and many of the good Brothers in lodge may have forgotten the names of the  p i t p.
I applaud you for remembering the entire degree at this point in your journey.
