| Does anyone know if Gov. Rick Perry is a brother Mason. |
|
Don't know, but I kinda hope that if he is, he doesn't advertise it.
Primarily because Masons don't mix Masonry and politics. But also because - as good as Masonry is - I'm not so sure it would help Perry. Knowing how politics is in this country, it would just bring out all the nay-sayers and anti-masonic rhetoric. I like Perry, but I think it is going to be a steep road for him, as he already is something of a lightning rod. If his staff threw Masonry in the mix, it would just fan the "secret society" BS. The Bush presidents are on some YouTube video after George W spoke at a (I think) funeral. He shook his dad's hand, and of course, that was labeled as some "secret" handshake, which I assure you it was not, but the ignorant ones - who have voting power - like to make some kind of conspiracy where there is none. For you non-Mason readers, you will never see a Masonic lodge endorse a political candidate - ever. That's not to say we Masons don't have political views, we just jold tight to the doctrine that in the Lodge, we are all equal, and there will be no discord, which is so rampant in US politics these days. |

Whether or not he is a Mason is irrelevant to me. He is a Bilderberger though, and that alone is enough for me to stay away, far away, Mason or not. But that's just me. I think he has only been to one Bilderberg meeting and that was in 2007.. I don't know under what circumstances he was invited nor the circumstances as to why he has not been back. It would not surprise me though for it to be a topic of inquiry at some point from somebody besides Alex Jones. I'm not a fan of the Bilderberg crowd or premise ether. I would however, have a much greater problem with it if he were a regular attendee. He's only into his first day after formally announcing. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he stacks up in some GOP debates and more clearly defines his positions. I don't think he is a Mason. Given some of the rhetoric I saw while Googling that, I think that information would have been out by now. |

I really don't know the differences between Bilderbergers and Whata Burgers. And I don't know if it matters. The reason that I asked was if Gov. Perry is a brother is because we haven't had a Mason in the White House since Ford. Every thing that I've heard and read about Perry has been good. He sounds like an intelligent moral man. I think that he could do the job of President as well if not better than most of whom we have had in my 48 years. |

Might want to spend some time on bilderberg too. ;) |

I know nothing about a bildaberger but I am concerned with who he REALLY is. Is he the democrat of 1988 or the republican of 2011? Well the Ronald Reagan (D) of 1950 made a damn fine (R). +1 And, I don't know much about the Bildaberger thing, but if that group is the real movers, shakers and decision-makers, I'd rather have our guy on the inside than the outside. We Texans kinda like a Governor who is decidedly pro-gun and pro-2A. |
|
He is no Reagan. And he isn't as pro gun as I'd like him to be. You really should study up on the Bilderbergers. Again, no more of them or neo cons for me. GWB, BHO, and RP are all cut from the same cloth.
If he is so "pro gun," why do "you" Texans have some pretty restrictive gun laws, at least compared to where I come from? |

Once again, let me reiterate: One meeting in 2007 does not a Bilderberger make . . . When was the last time you tried out a restaurant and walked out after paying and said, "not coming back here again."
If he were a regular annual attendee like some others that are, I would be more concerned about it. On one video he indicated that he was invited to speak on energy policy. To me it looks like he showed up one time and decided it either wasn't worth coming back or it is entirely possible that he was not invited back. People may have differing opinions on his positions and I understand that but, I personally think this Bilderberg stuff of 4 years ago is a non-issue. Now, if he were booking reservations every year, I would be more concerned. |

Since posting that, I have also done some research on things he has accomplished and his stances on certain things, and I must say I have no problem with him. (I always do my research before showing up at the polls.) |

I guess if he had the chance to wave a magic wand, some of those "pretty restrictive" laws might not be so restrictive, but we all know it doesn't work that way. |

Whatever conspiracy theories you do or do not attach to the Bilderberg Group, it is an assembly of the most wealthy and powerful people in the western world. it would be silly for a sitting president to decline such an invitation. |
