| Okay, its TEOTWAWKI. Would you rather face slow movers who require a precise head shot to kill, or fast movers like IAL or 28 DL, that can be killed with any shot that could kill any other human? |

the nemisiss in IAL and 28 days/weeks, were not zombies... there are many pages so far discussing this but needless to say, it's a moot question as it was phrased.
that said the slow vs. fast zombie arguement has been discussed before the general consensus was slow Z's were the preferred nemisis as the Z's in say dawn of the dead '04 remake were just damn scary, my fat ass ain't out running them... in z.a. rechts' book series the "monrning star strain" the people whom are bitten become infected(and turn at about the rate of a standard virus incubation period) into "sprinters" basically rage virus type "infected" a la 28 days/weeks, fast, viscious, and very aggresive, but any mortal(to human) wound will kill them. however, once the "sprinters" are destroyed, short of destroying the brain, they at that point will re-animate as "shamblers", basically traditional undead "romero styled" zombies... this is probably my favorite idea of the course of the virus and i.m.h.o. quite possibly the most plausible... Well if its 28 days infected "zombies" i'd rather take them, because all you do is hole up for a while until they all die from dehydration. So i'n about a week of being quiet and still the event is over. +1 they where never undead just infected and insane. |

I'll take the fast ones.
I wrote this long post as to why, but i re-read it and realized that i sound CRAZY
Let's just say that the slow ones would not be a challenge for anyone who is prepared. All you'd have to do is hold up somewhere and shoot them with a 22. When you do have to leave to get food, water, etc you could just take a couple guys and walk/shoot your way through the mob, and that is if you don't have a truck you could just use to drive through them. Too easy. Then again i'm young and don't have any kids to protect. |
