It seems that " Only Go Out During The Daytime" is a pretty universal rule for Z-day.
I was thinking tho , ( i know, scary ) that zombies seem to be highly immobile. I figure this is due to thier muscles not funtioning properly due to lactic acid build up (cramps ) because the heart is not circulating blood to replenish them. Thus causing them to deterorate. So would a zombies eyes also not work. i.e. not adjust pupil size for different lighting. If this was the case, zombies wouldn't see worth a shit at night. And in turn not be able to even locate you. Even our nateral night vision would be greatly better than thiers. Maybe going out at night would be safer? A pair of NVG's would give you a huge advantage. |

I ventured in here out of boredom, but if based on most "recent" movies being some sort of virus or "top secret" agent. A parasite or virus reanimated a corpse would allow it to function almost like normal. Happens all the time in nature, especially with Wasp larva. Quite interesting how they use other bugs particularly caterpillars as their hosts for their larva. They end up controlling the caterpillar, i.e. parasite.

Alot of sources have zed senses based more on smell, hearing, or some kind of 6th sense so basing your movement only at night
would not be logical for that reason. I would say getting a hold of NVG ASAP when the modern world ends is a great idea, and night movement has alot of advantages- esp when you are dodging the human element as well. |
| When a person dies their pupils dialate, meaning their night vision would be better but their day vision would suck. I go with the above poster, that most training films and books depict zombies as having good vision, hearing, smell and some believe a 6th sence. I believe there is no 6th sence but their hearing/vision/smell may lead some to believe this. |
