I made it and yes it is; it's a solid chunk of oak heartwood.

This is what I was thinking too. They have a video of them driving an SUV up the length of the bat and it not breaking. It definitely bends, but the
guy straightens it out and he was good to go. I've been meaning to buy one for my truck for a couple of years, I just keep forgetting. Maybe I should do it right now, lol.

ETA........midway usa $29.99!

I think I want one a little bit longer, like the length of the brooklyn crusher,. This is the win though, will not break, and is lighter than wood right?

Regardless, nice crafty work to the feller up there that made his own...

Full of win!  A usefull tool that can double as a club in an emergency.

A dedicated club is a bad idea IMHO.

a metal(aluminum) bat can absolutely be mangled against harder or denser surfaces to the point of being a poor poor substitute for a bat but still will remain an OKish club. however, being aluminum they are really kinda light. sure they can be swung very fast and even make for a quicker follow through and subsiquent faster redirection and repeat swings but they kinda lack the mass for a truelly devastating crushing blow...

that said when you role out of your ride with a bat to quite possibly get into a brawl people immediately think "i don't want to get hit, but that asshole may not have the sack to hit me with that bat".

but when you roll out with a mangled aluminutm ball bat those same folks will think "fuck, he may or may not hit me with that bat, but he's sure as hell hit something".

if i can find it i'll post pics...
