Benefactor here. I’ve given the NRA money I certainly could have used elsewhere. If this is the “support” we can expect I regret wasting my money on my and my wife’s lifetime+ memberships.

The NRA can kiss my ass I just sent them an email. In truth they have not done anything in years except give in to the government. There are more progun groups out there that stand for alot more than the NRA today. The NRA is nothing but a money grubbing political group that uses fear to generate money for their pockets and having done nothing to earn it. They are no better than Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. They do nothing but keep the fear going to line their pockets. This right here is proof of it once again. They have just shot themselves in the foot. This will cost them millions in members right here. The stock did not kill those people. A man did and the NRA IS BLAMING A STOCK NOT THE MAN. They just fell into exactly what the left wanted them to do. The left knew that if they could get the NRA to agree with them on anything it would cost them members and millions and political power. Idiots...........they have out lived their usefulness. They support bolt action rifles only now. Next it will be semi auto compromise then next.....then next.....the whole time asking for money. ARCOM should kick the NRA off as a up and coming GUN REGULATION GROUP because they are certainly losing their pro gun status unless you shoot only a bolt action rifle. This is the beginning of the end of the NRA. You mark my words here. Unless the antigun political leaders are outed in the NRA and new pro gun blood is installed. I will be an anti NRA SPOKESMAN UNTIL THEY CHANGE The NRA is exactly like the Federal government. They forget they are nothing without the people. The NRA is not listening to its members any longer. They are to big to fail. We will see about that. You can be replaced with stronger organizations if we put our money there. With out members you are nothing. |

Where are our resident ARFCOM NRA Directors? Seems like this forum worked pretty hard to make sure a few people got on the BoD. I feel like "our" directors should be addressing this.
I attended the NRA Youth Education Summit back in high school. I'm a Benefactor member. I'm a Recruiter, an Instructor, and an RSO. I was, for years, an NRA-ILA Election Volunteer Coordinator. I am not the run-of-the-mill NRA basher. But this statement today was fucking ridiculous. How did we go from "From my cold, dead hands" and "Stand and Fight" to "should be subject to additional regulations"? Freedom's Safest Place my ass. |

Please read my post about contacting the NRA.
There are better ways to handle this than getting enraged and quitting. There is a very good possibility that the Board was unaware of this statement, and many employees were unaware of this until well after the statement was released. The best way to handle this is to work together and get Chris Cox and Wayne LaPierre ousted, and get real leaders in there. |
