Everyone that values there right to own reptiles should go to this site. www.usark.org Even if you can't donate you can get on the mailing list and they will keep you up to date on what we are facing in this industry.
There is a proposal to the house right now to ban boas and pythons. This doesn't just affect the breeder like me. It will make it that the average person with a pet ball python will not be allowed to keep them. |

So if you had a pet dog and it died, you would never want to get another ever again? Just like an assault weapons ban they might not be able to take all reptiles away or not all at once. But if you let it happen, someday maybe 30 years, no one will have them anymore. Grandfathered in means less when you are talking about living things that get old an die.
It will put breeders out of business. These are people doing it full time, the only income they have. Their employees will also be out of a job. Just what we need, fewer jobs. |
