Had to put down our 12-13 y/o half lab half border collie today. Wanted to do it myself but my grandmother who loved her as much as anyone wouldn't hear of it so I took her to the vet. A huge mistake I will never make again. Best mut farm dog ever my kids grew up with her and she will be dearly missed.

I feel for you.
Our 14 year old female Blue Heeler developed bone cancer. We discussed when it was "time" and decided we didn't want her last memory to be of a place not home. So we paid the vet extra to come to the house. It didn't make her loss any easier. Sorry for your loss. |
| It sounds like you gave her a good life and she made your's better in return, a good deal except for this last part, which is always how it goes. We know that, yet we choose their love for a little while anyway, because it IS worth it. Sorry for your loss, I believe I'll see all of mine again someday. |
