Here's Trooper:

My Novascotia Duck-trolling retriever has the worst gas. It has gotten really bad lately. It could be classified as a WMD.
We're feeding him Nutro brand dog food.

Do you think it would be OK to give him a Gas-X anti- gas strip?

Thanks.

From dogillnesses-n-symptoms.com:

Another treatment for flatulence in dogs is to use simethicone (Gas-X) to absorb intestinal gas. It is available over the counter for people and is safe for use on dogs as well. You can give 1/4 adult dose to a small dog, 1/2 adult dose to a medium-sized dog, and 1 adult dose to a large dog after meals.

What type of food are you feeding him?  Our dog never had gas until we put him on 'lamb and rice' - boy of boy, he could clear a room in one toot. LOL   Switched him to a fish/sweet potato and no more horrible gas (from him at least)

Ha Ha!!  Dog Farts!  My beasts fart LOUDER than I do  and the smell!  Whoooo.  Peel the paint off the walls.  Yes, Gas-X is okay.  Never heard of a "strip" but the little green pills are go to go.  Max follows meinto the bathroom to get his "treat" and gulps one down.

Lol ... doggie farts

It is usually something in their food that causes it.  Ask your vet about it.

I used to have a little pit bull that would get gas.  At 45 pounds, she could clear a room with a silent but deadly one.  My parents were over for oysters one night, and I served some with hot sauce on them.  My little dog laid on the floor nearby while we ate.

My Dad ate one and loved it.  My Mom tried one, and said "OH, MY GOD!!!"  I asked if the hot sauce was to hot, and she replied, "NO, ITS YOUR DOG!" while waving her hand in front of her nose.  Then the stink hit me...funny as hell.
