Any of you ever see the Cat Genie? https://www.catgenie.com/ I had been seeing the ads and had been thinking about getting one. Well last week I broke down and ordered one. I hate cleaning my cats litter box and also don't like listening to him bitch about it not being clean. After a pretty painless hookup and it taking a couple of days for him to get used to it, I no longer have to mess with a litter box. Now I just have to change out a cartridge every now and then. It also does wonder entertaining my cat. I swear he know, that if he uses it, it will start moving.
 I figure it will pain for itself in a bit over a year, but not having to clean anymore is worth the price. I highly recommend it to all the cat owners. |

I was only a one cat household but I solved the litter box chore issue by placing it right next to my toilet in the bathroom.
Basically, all the piss and shit in one place that gets cleaned regularly anyway. I'd sit on the crapper and sift the litter box. Just reached over and dropped it in a covered trashcan in the corner within reach. The cat would come in in the morning and we'd do our business together. They always bother you on the toilet anyway. Worked for him, worked for me. Only have to wash your hands once.

| The CatGenie has NEVER been for use with clumping litter. That's a LitterMaid (or equivalent). The CatGenie uses plastic pellets that are washable. When cleaning time comes, it scoops out the solids (the liquids automatically filter down through the pellets and into a basin underneath), then it adds water and cleaner, washes the pellets, grinds up the poop and flushes everything down a drain. |

Sucks when the cat comes in though and drops a duce that makes your own smell like a bunch of roses.
