There's the tacked thread, and tons of guys ready to spring into action at the hint of a member in trouble. I've inadvertently helped people out in their lives, and I fear that I won't be able to come through when people need me. I wish I had answers, but I don't. So far, saying hi to people in the hall every day and saying that if they ever need anything they should let me know apparently goes a long way. I'm told I've kept 2 people here just by making that a habit.

Highest suicide rate in the USA belongs to the class of middle-aged white men.

We are the most despised class in America.

I really hate hearing about this. I’ve know and known of far to many going down that road. It’s always a gut punch whether I’ve personally known them or not.

RIP

Between here and my Facebook veterans groups, I hear of this way too often.
If you are a vet, there are many resources- reach out.
If you are not a vet, there are still resources! Reach out!
Tired of reading these notices.

There is this thread. I'm positive that it has saved at least one life just in the last few pages alone.

This.

Arfcom has become and is like family. A really screwed up one at times but a loss of one is a loss for us all.

What game are you guys playing?
We all started off playing PUBG. Then we’d rotate from that through RB6 siege and rocket league. He loved rocket league.

In RL He and I would 1v1 and he’d absolutely destroy me 99% of the time, but we’d go into doubles and he’d walk through the proper strategies and how to play and we’d play competitive duos.

In RB6 he was out Monty. He played on PC with an Xbox controller and damnit we’d have so much fun as a squad.

Fuck it’s sobering how permanent this decision is. Literally
Hundreds of hours. Never met the guy in real life but I’ll say he was a friend.

Rest in peace edcurtis. agree it is very sad when we lose members like edcurtis that's been here as long as he has. He was a good guy.

Did not know him personally. But you could get an idea about a person from how they conducted themselves here.

What they write about and respond to posts. Plus when they are wrong about something. They graciously admit it and move on. He never argued about it.

He never argued with members ( unless you deserved it ). He was just a really good hearted positive guy and that right there is the heart beat of ar15.com.

Members like edcurtis and others like him, that keep making you want to come back.

May GOD bless him, grant him peace and my condolences to his family.

I didn’t know that, I remember many of his threads.

I didn’t go too far down that road but had some rough times when I came back from overseas.  If you need help please talk to someone.  Suicide isn’t the way to solve it.
