So I picked up a fender princeton on craigslist a few days ago for $100- couldn't pass up the deal. It's the dual speaker combo with reverb and chorus, however neither of those functions are working. The clean and overdrive channels work fine, but the two reasons I bought the amp were the chorus and reverb.
I'd rather not take it in to a shop if I can avoid it- I've got other amps I use more and this was just an impulse buy. Any suggestions? Thanks guys Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
| They may not work unless the foot switch is enguaged. Kind of like the old tube amps the vibrato/reverb would not work if it was off then the switch was off then removed. Try that first before spending money to get it checked out. Aslo make sure the effects are not opperated by a push pull pot on the amp. |

The footswitch doesn't seem to matter. To activate the chorus you must press a button on the amp, for the reverb it goes both ways.
I'm not sure if it is a push-pull pot setup. It's an older model, definitely nothing new. I was toying around with it last night and the chorus came on momentarily and then cut out. I had the chorus channel activated. The same with reverb - it came in and then cut out. |
