I dunno why but I found myself listening to alot of his music today. Was wondering whats everyone elses opinion on his music/style. Poll inbound shortly.

I started a thread about him when this forum was created a while back.

To me, he is obviously a very talented player, but his style just isn't my thing.

It would a curiousity thing for me to go see GnR when he was a member, but going to see a Buckethead concert might be a bit much for me.

He can play extremely well though IMHO (watch past the ninja dancing portion)

Go to youtube and listen to some 'November Rain' vids with Buckethead and GnR.

He is technically excellent, but doesn't do the Slash version any better or add any value, it just sounds weird to me.

The guy's just strange, kinda like when you are watching some nature show on PBS when you're hung over & all of the sudden there's two lemurs screwing & it's strangely fascinating.

I've heard Slash say on the radio something to the effect that he was technically excellent, but his sound had no soul.

He is very good at making sounds very fast.

Buddy Guy can say more with one note than Buckethead can in 32 measures of high speed toodling.

Different strokes for different folks and all that but it takes more than fast fingers and a loud amp to get my attention.

There's no question that he's talented, but a lot of his stuff has entered the realm of unlistenable.

im going to have to get a KFC bucket so maybe i can beat jordan on expert on guitar hero 2 and get the achievement.
