I am getting back into gigging and have decided that I want to give going wireless another shot. This time I have decent money (and the wife's permission!!).
For background info - the only thing that is in front of me on stage is a midi controller that controls my effects and amp channel switching (I run tube heads and rack effects) so no floor based receivers, I like quick and easy setups so no stand alone table top units, and we play on small to medium size stages (bars to festivals). I am leaning towards the Line 6 Relay G90 Pro due to it being rack mounted, the cable select feature, and the tx freq/general operation of transmission. Looking at a price range of $500 or so. Any thoughts?? |

I've been using one of those basic Sennheiser analog UHF units that Guitar Center clearanced a couple years ago and it has worked well for me.
But I've also been eyeing the G90. I like the features it has and I eventually want to have a rack setup as well, that way I don't have so many cables. The only drawback I know of from reading up on digital wireless in general is that you need to be more careful about maintaining line of sight between the body pack and the receiver. |
