What are your current two-piece bands? I hold a special place for two-pieces, as creating a full sound with drums and a guitar is a sign of talent (or a good producer  ). I've always preferred the two-piece setup in my own recordings, although I can only strive for the talent part, haha.
Anyway, who have you been listening to lately in this category? The White Stripes should be given an obligatory honorable mention, though I can't say I'm a huge fan and actively listen to them. Lately for me it's been The Black Keys, and of particular insterest, Death From Above 1979. DFA1979 is particularly impressive to me because it's a two-piece but with a bass and drums, yet the sound is badass. Perhaps he's using a SansAmp or something, but damn this shit sounds good. |

Newer Deadboy and the Elephantmen is a two piece.
