I've decided that an amp without reverb is like a day without sunshine!

I'm seeing them from $14.95 right up into paycheck territory.

I know you get what you pay for, but whats the hot poop reverb in the +- $100 range?

If anyone has any info on replacing a reverb box in an amp I'd be all ears. The reverb in my Fender Deluxe is just awful. Super splatty at a 1 out of 12 and anything over that is just unusable. I'm not in to splat in my 'verb.

So, I guess I to am interested in this. Although my GT-8 has plenty of decent enough reverb (I don't use the 'verb much).

I just use the Reverb in my amps and/or the Reverb in the effects processor that I use in the FX loop of my JVM.

But if I were going to use a Reverb stompbox, I'd get a Boss Digital Reverb. But I'd look for a used one (new ones are $150). Used ones usually go quite a bit cheaper than new.

A cathedral does just about all the reverb you could want and go for around a 100 used.

in my opinion $100 won't do a whole lot in the way of quality reverb.

I would go with the $200 option, unless you wanted octave reverb.  If you want a spring reverb you'll need to hunt down a malekko chicken reverb (which will be challenging).

i would seriously suggest you buy used.  thegearpage.net is the arfcom of the guitarworld, and there are deals to be had on ebay.

good luck!

A cathedral actualy has spring reverb. Its one of the better electro harmonix pedals.
Buy a used one and if you have to sell it you only usualy lose what shipping costs.
