The sling is from LaRue Tactical. And yes, many hours of fun as soon as I get some time in type and tailwheel. |

Looks like an RV6 or similar. It this the case? Which engine did you choose? 360 parallel valve? From the pic, it looks like you have serious attention to detail. Nice job! Maybe my next plane will be a homebuilt (currently a 177RG). I have only flown one RV6, a super 6 with the 540++ in it. That airplane scared me. It was fast, but more than that, it was faster than me. Also, it was so noisy at 230 MPH that I could not stand it, I did not have a headset with me. Kind of like sitting on top of a big subwoofer, the noise just simply becomes bothersome after a while. Other than my lackluster piloting skills for such an aircraft, it was "way cool". Very nice control feel and response. Plenty of power. I have had a few rides in an F1 Rocket too. A variant of the RV 4. Very nice aircraft too. Make sure to read the NTSB accident reports on RV6 accidents. After you do so, you will be sure to stay out of the electrical wires! cujet |

Yes -RV6 I installed 0360 parallel valve 180hp from Mattituck. I've been able to fly a few RVs and its a blast. Never any with the big engines just 160-180hp. Headsets are a must and the ANR is even better. Nice thing about RVs is you can slow them down and sight see or do serious cross country. I'll be getting current soon , then tailwheel endorement, then time in type. Frank |
