Went and renewed the first class yesterday.  When did they make the eye chart so much smaller?  That was rude.

I can pass the eye test without even looking at the eye chart.

My guy's nurse has been making me read it backwards for the 18 or so years I've been going there.  I still have to slow down just a little and think about it though.  But Pickle is right, they seem to get smaller every year…I may be good for another one or two before I need progressives, I hope.

At one point I asked the nurse "There isn't a time limit right?  Because this is gonna take a minute."

One nurse told me about a guy that took 20 minutes to pass the eye test. I did not
feel bad after that.

The hearing test is the only test that I am concerned about.

Then again, depending on who you go see, it may not matter.

Kahrs up in Park City.   Meyer is closer but it was going to be 3 weeks to get in.  Kahrs could get me in the next day.  Aside from the eye test, it was all good.  Oh, no nut cup like Lay did though, so that will either be a relief or a disappointment.

Have you always kept your medical?   Did you rejoin the rat race?   Congrats?

Awesome.  A friend just went to Kahrs and also had a good experience.  I go to Meyer shortly.  Lay's the ONLY AME I've ever had to feel my junk up.

Mine has the eye chart in his waiting room, which conveniently gives me ample time to memorize both the 20/20 and the 20/10 lines.

I even have memory aids, DEF-initely PO-lice TEC-hnology and FEB is HO-t on F-riends.

OK so now that's two of you who have posted that.....   Do you go to the same guy or am I just too fucking stupid to have put it together yet after 28 years of getting medicals?

Edit - actually I'm pretty sure that wasn't line 7 on the test I took......

No, that was included in the price.  The long cuddle afterwards was extra.  $10 little spoon, $15 big spoon.

ETA:  Sucks that guy retired tho.  Junk feeling aside, he was pretty cool.  Very pro-2A and had "CCH welcome here" signs up, and is very against our Thug-In-Chief, etc.

Until 2yrs ago, I had that whole chart memorized.  Now my doc has a computerized chart that projects on the wall.  Completely random and changes every time.  He makes me read it twice and changes it between readings.  I'm 43 and can still read the 20/10 line, but it's getting a little more blurry every year.

I took my 2nd class last week... This was not the chart used. I memorized DEFPOTEC and it was not even close to that.
