| Went and renewed the first class yesterday. When did they make the eye chart so much smaller? That was rude. |

I can pass the eye test without even looking at the eye chart. D E F P O T E C Edit: Live by the gouge, die by the gouge.
My guy's nurse has been making me read it backwards for the 18 or so years I've been going there. I still have to slow down just a little and think about it though. But Pickle is right, they seem to get smaller every year…I may be good for another one or two before I need progressives, I hope. |

Who did you go to now that Dr. Lay is out? Mine is coming up. Quoted:

Kahrs could get me in the next day. Aside from the eye test, it was all good. Oh, no nut cup like Lay did though, so that will either be a relief or a disappointment. |

Awesome. A friend just went to Kahrs and also had a good experience. I go to Meyer shortly. Lay's the ONLY AME I've ever had to feel my junk up. Quoted:

Mine has the eye chart in his waiting room, which conveniently gives me ample time to memorize both the 20/20 and the 20/10 lines. I even have memory aids, DEF-initely PO-lice TEC-hnology and FEB is HO-t on F-riends. |

Do you go to the same guy or am I just too fucking stupid to have put it together yet after 28 years of getting medicals? Edit - actually I'm pretty sure that wasn't line 7 on the test I took...... |

Very pro-2A and had "CCH welcome here" signs up, and is very against our Thug-In-Chief, etc. |

I thought all pilots knew this (even back when there wasn't any internet). Read line 8. http://www.pbase.com/david_3/image/161418772/original.jpg But like I said......live by the gouge, die by the gouge. Until 2yrs ago, I had that whole chart memorized. Now my doc has a computerized chart that projects on the wall. Completely random and changes every time. He makes me read it twice and changes it between readings. I'm 43 and can still read the 20/10 line, but it's getting a little more blurry every year. |

I memorized DEFPOTEC and it was not even close to that. |
