| Any PIREPS? Thinking about getting one. |

I was wondering the same thing. I picked up a little t-craft a few weeks ago, and not really wanting to blow a wad of cash on a high-end gps with a ton of features I wont use. I went ahead and bought one, and I'm glad I did. I was fine with my Lorance, even though they abandoned their aviation line, and I couldn't update it. But I bought my wife an iPad for her birthday a couple of weeks ago, so I had to come up with something for her to get me. I thought about getting an iPad mini, but I have an android tablet already, and I never use it. The iFly is cheaper in the long run, and IMHO vastly superior in the cockpit. It can do anything I would do with an iPad, plus you can add and ADSB reciever if you want. The only real disadvantage is that it requires external power, but I already have a battery system for my radio and old GPS. I's say the only feature you wouldn't use are the plates and some of the charts. I exchanged a few emails with the Adventure Pilot help desk before I bought. (Turns out, the VP of Business Development runs the help desk). He told me to order one from them and try it out. If I didn't like it, send it back. They pay shipping both ways. Sportys is right down the street from me, so I went there and picked one up. BTW, the pictures of the T-craft don't seem to be loading. |

I did some more review searches after posting earlier. I think I'm going to go with the i-fly. The lack of internal power was a complaint that popped up a bit, but I've got a battery box with a cig-lighter adapter already so that don't bother me much. Finding a home for the receiver in a t-craft's tiny cabin might be the biggest problem.
As far as pics, I'm really derpy when it comes to loading photos.
